Every year our girls lacrosse program continues to grow as more and more girls realize the many benefits of playing box lacrosse. This program allows female players to increase their fitness and coordination, improve their mental health, develop friendships all in a positive atmosphere that emphasizes fun, fitness and teamwork.

Girls Only Lacrosse Program

U9 House League program will consist of skills and drills with potential intersquad games. To form the girls house league program, players are evaluated and sorted into balanced teams at the start of the season. The season runs from early April until the end of June. U9 girls play Monday and Wednesday evenings.

U11 & U13 Girls Program

House League program will consist of one skill developing practice and one action packed game per week, typically on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Our goal is to adhere to this schedule as much as possible but inevitably there may be conflicts, and occasionally a practice or game may need to be on a different night of the week. Please refer to the website to confirm rink location and date.

To form the girls house league program, competitive U11 / U13 players will join the league to increase number. All players are evaluated and sorted into balanced teams at the start of the season. The season runs from early April until the end of June.

U15 & U17 Girls Program

House League program will consist of one skill developing practice and one action packed game per week, typically on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Historically, we have run with three teams. Monday evenings, one team has the full floor for a 1 hour practice, the remaining two teams share the floor for a 1 hour practice. Wednesday evenings, two teams will play a 1 hour game with refs and time keepers  and the remaining team will have a 1 hour full floor practice.

To form the girls house league program, competitive U15 / U17 players will join the league to increase numbers. All players are evaluated and sorted into balanced teams at the start of the season. The season runs from early April until the end of June.

Girls Competitive Program

Forming girls competitive box lacrosse teams is dependent on the number of girls interested. The competitive season is longer, running till the first week of August.

Competitive players have an additional 1 ½ hour practice per week on Tuesday evenings and play zone games on the weekend, attend 1-2 away tournaments and potential out of zone fun days. The Nepean Knights are excited to offer U11 / U13 / U17 & U22 girls competitive teams this year.
