I want to mention how amazing it was to watch the best that Nepean has to offer at U17 age group displayed over the last 3 sessions. The future is truly bright for this age group. I want to thank everyone that tried out, you all battled like Knights, competed to sharpen one another, and honoured the game of lacrosse. You should all carry your head high and with pride. You all have my respect as people and athletes.
As a coach I can’t tell you how remarkable it feels to be apart of the lacrosse that was played this week. I believe all 3 teams this summer will do remarkable things! Pls carry the same energy, care and focus into wherever you land this summer, and if you ever have anything you want to talk about, whether it be lacrosse, school anything, I want you to come talk to me, because we are ALL a family in Nepean. Thank you to all who helped evaluate, time-keep, provide trainer duties, shot clock & referee. You made the process so much smoother.
The association asks that you respect the 24hr rule. I will reiterate, the selections were made only from the work done in the 5 tryouts. The multiple different evaluators, multiple sessions were all to provide ultimate equality for all players. I will not judge you if you seek out feedback for your player, that is how this process works, it will not be taken personally. I live and die by my processes, so I respect you all for doing yours now.
